Cuddles, Polly and Flower are our herd of Donkeys at the Sanctuary

Flower is the youngest and joined the rescue a few years ago along with Polly. Both girls are very sweet-natured and enjoy human company and Polly is particularly partial to a good old bum scratch

Cuddles is our eldest donkey. We don't know his exact age but believe he is in his mid to late twenties. His favourite treat is a ginger biscuit and he is well known in the village as he often joins in with the event of switching the village's Christmas lights on.

We currently have two goats with us at the rescue

Bruce, who is around 7 years old started his life as a school pet. After that he was rehomed a couple of times for being too boisterous and then he joined us with his friend Ned, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago.

Then there's Woody, a recent addition to the rescue. He is a pygmy goat who joined us as company for Bruce. We sadly lost our 2 large goats Big Pete and Hector, which left Bruce on his own but Woody soon helped Bruce to get a spring back in his step.

Bobby and Bennie are our 2 gorgeous miniature Shetlands.

Both boys are around 17 years old. Bobby is a stallion who hadn't had much handling before he came to Redhead Rescues. These 2 boys have a strong bond and can always be found grazing close to each other, which is lovely to see as Bennie struggled to get close with any other of our equines before Bobby arrived.

The rescue currently have 4 pigs. They are Odin, Potter, Grainger and Weazley; their ages range from 4 to 8 years old and all were saved from being slaughtered for the table. Odin when he arrived, was being bottle-fed by Teresa and even slept on the sofa with all the dogs.

The rescue does have other ponies and donkeys who are out on Loan to other people and these are called Eden, Rain, Worzel, Mikey, Bilbo and Delilah
